Hands-On Learning Programs

Summer Farm Camps (June and July)

Curiosity leads the way at Summer Farm Camp!

Our science-forward programming focuses on the interactions between people, plants, and animals. Campers will explore the full breadth of our 95-acre organic farm and living laboratory, engaging in hands-on learning activities designed to enrich their knowledge of farming and the natural world. From the crop fields to the greenhouses, the pasture to the hedgerows, the orchard to the gardens—every moment will be an adventure!

Over the course of the week, campers will explore the many interconnected systems that make up a thriving farm. They will spend quality time outside, working as a team to steward the land and solve problems. Through our immersive programming, kids will:

🌱 Tend a communal garden and learn about different approaches to growing food at home and on a farm. They will have the opportunity to plant seeds and harvest crops.
🪱 Learn about soil organic matter, microorganisms, and how to make compost.
🐑 Care for our sheep, goats, and chickens. They will help prepare food and bedding and learn about rotational grazing.
🧶 Learn about textile production using organic materials. They will spin wool, try their hands at weaving, and dye cloth.

Campers will also complete individual projects that build upon their newly learned skills and foster creativity. There will be a camp celebration for campers and their families on the last day of camp. We hope you’ll join us for this special event!

Camp includes campers ages 5 through 12 years old. Camp takes place from 9am-1pm; extended day options are available.
