Measures to support online accessibility

Liberty Prairie takes the following measures to ensure online accessibility of libertyprairie.org:

• Implement best practices in design and development of the website to meet the WCAG accessibility standards.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Liberty Prairie is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content may not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Additional accessibility considerations

We ran Google Lighthouse to test for accessibility scores and conducted manual testing of tabbing order and spot-checking screen reader implementation of image alt tags on key pages.
