Why Liberty Prairie?
My work centers on connecting systems, schools, and community partners, and Liberty Prairie is the ultimate connector of pathways for students across Lake County. Through my role with the Regional Office of Education, I see powerful opportunities to help schools look beyond face value and recognize the deep value of partnerships rooted in land, sustainability, and community. I believe nature-based learning and working with the land offer meaningful ways to support the mental health needs of our students. I look forward to engaging in ways we can ignite this connection and bring these restorative experiences into more schools.
