About Gillian
Gillian is from Third Lake, Illinois, and she graduated from Grayslake North Highschool in May of 2026. She participated in the internship program held through the farm over the summer as well as the school year where she learned priceless knowledge regarding animal husbandry and collaborative team work. She also took the LEAF (Land, Environment, Animals & Food) class through her high school with Jeff Miller which introduced her to how impactful organic farming can be on both the community the farm is in as well as the environment surrounding it. Gillian hopes to go into the veterinary field in the future as a large animal vet and will be attending Syracuse University for her undergrad as a biology major hoping to minor in sociology. She is ecstatic to be joining the farm's camp counselor team this summer and cannot wait to watch the learning and joy that is sure to blossom from this wonderful opportunity! She often volunteered throughout high school with children at the Grayslake Park District and is excited to utilize those experiences in order to create the best possible learning and playing environment for the kids!
