If you rode the tractor at this year’s Fall Festival, you heard the beeps. That was David at the wheel, tapping the horn just often enough to keep a wagon full of kids laughing the whole way around the farm. It’s a small moment, the kind that doesn't always make it into a newsletter, but it makes a memory.

I saw a beautiful piece of art called “The Invisible Man” that honored the hidden human hands behind tending vineyards, and it stayed with me. Our farmers aren’t hidden. You’ve seen them on the farm, on our website, in the Farm Store, and on our fliers. But the tenacity, care, proactive thinking, and good spirit they bring every day are hard to fit into a CSA share. So, before the season soon closes, we want to thank them by name.

Anacleto
Anacleto’s good humor is boundless. He’s always ready to help carry something, count something, or jump into a project, with a laugh ready to go.
Cleto
Cleto, Anacleto’s son, is the team’s official voice when I come asking about counts, crop readiness, and harvest estimates. He knows livestock, which makes Jeff's go-to partner on animal projects, from training goats to ride in the pumpkin carriage to trimming sheep hooves.

Miguel
Miguel is deeply kind, with a gentle smile that lights up the team. He’s fast at finding things and bringing in a harvest, and he’s the trusted driver of the harvest wagon and truck.
David
David is our mechanic and can fix nearly anything. He’s also the careful eye making sure every CSA share is packed properly and looks its best. And yes, he’s the one behind the tractor horn.
Saul
Saul is the newest member of the team, with a second season now under his belt. He works on the farm year-round, so he leads the day-to-day livestock operations and winter farm work. He’s bilingual and moves easily from delivering CSA shares and Farm Store products to working the daily vegetable harvest with the team.
Jeff and I set the direction, but it’s this team that turns it into a season. We couldn’t be more grateful for how we work together.

Cleto, Anacleto, David, and Miguel head home to Mexico soon. Before they go, we’ll celebrate the season. Every share you picked up this year passed through their hands. Thank you for appreciating their work as local food growers alongside us.
