Summer, By the Numbers

Summer, By the Numbers

This weekend we sat down to reflect on our summer with students — and the numbers tell a pretty great story.

5 Farm Business Interns studied Gavin's Honey farm business and harvested 234 lbs of honey together.

4 Summer Farm Camp counselors led 100 farm campers through the season.

3 Workforce Development associates worked at Farm Camp and the Farm Store, inventorying over 300 products and assisting nearly 100 young campers.

6 Summer school students planted 2,000 seeds and plants — many for the first time.

Through a collaboration of all programs including Inclusion Camp, Summer Farm Camp, Summer school student, our CSA members' donations, field trips and the farm team, we donated 2,700 lbs of produce this summer alone — not counting spring donations!

These hands-on experiences do more than teach a skill — they build confidence, curiosity, and a sense of belonging that students carry with them well beyond the farm. We're grateful for every contribution, and can't wait to see what this school year brings.

Thank you to the students who worked alongside us this summer! Here's to a wonderful year ahead — full of new lessons, new growth, and new reasons to celebrate together.
