Our heavy, saturated soils match our heavy hearts as we observe flood damage around the farm. To lift the mood, here’s a photo journal of growth and progress in our animals and food forest.

Birds, butterflies, and baby deer make the food forest their home.

Sea berries are plentiful.

We will soon begin to prune towards future growth. For now, grow, grow, grow!

Exploring carefully as the sea berries have really sharp needles.

Once as thin as a pencil, the food forest trees (including this Honey Locust) are now quickly growing.

Maple tree to be used for sap someday.

Our working conservation grazing herd is training to help us manage the food forest growth.

Of course, they must have playtime, too!
Enjoy a drier week and this week’s share of the harvest!
