The Liberty Prairie Foundation hosts events at the Prairie Crossing Farm and Byron Colby Barn to foster life-long learning and education and a sense of community. We organize a number events related to local food and conservation, as well as concerts and entertainment. We also co-sponsor selected public events that are aligned with Liberty Prairie Foundation’s impact areas and/or the Prairie Crossing Guiding Principles by offering discounted rental of the Byron Colby Barn.

Local Food & Conservation Events

Our events help us balance our public education and outreach with the Prairie Crossing Farmers’ needs to safely conduct farm operations on a working, certified organic farm.

Concerts & Entertainment

Incredible performances and architectural beauty combine to create a unique audience experience at the Byron Colby Barn. The Liberty Prairie Foundation hosts performances at the Barn to foster a sense of community and in support of life-long learning and education. The Early Music Series has been held at the Barn since 2001, featuring highly acclaimed musicians performing music from the Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque periods.
